Introduction

In this e-folio, we meant to share a little bit of our experience as practitioners. We expect to share some knowledge that we have adquired through this course.

We, also, want to share some of the things we put into practice with our high school students. We wanted the best for them, and we wanted them to learn in the best way possible the languague. Knowing that we had made our best effort, we are excited to work with this new knowledge, and to learn from our new students.

Educational Experience

Teaching at High School was one of the memories I will never forget because teaching to teenagers and young adults was an experience in which I learnt the most.

It was something remarkable because I remembered when I was in High School, so I tried to do my classes in a very interactive way for them to learn.

Also, when I was teaching, I tried to make them pay attention because there were a lot of distractors in the classroom. They were talking and talking until something interesting catches their attention, so I tried to explain the things in an easy way for them to understand better.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERINCE

Teaching people is an amazing field that not everybody have, so we have to be glad of being teachers. However teaching is not that easy because we have to overcome a lot of situations that we face in a class because it is part of it. In my opinion teaching has been giving me the opportunity to grow up as person and spetialy as teacher because I learned a lot from my students they are very special teens that need a lot of new knowledge and also a guide for their lives.

Teachin has been a light for me beacause I have noticed that others need my help and they are waiting for someone who can give them the oportunity to learn new things in our case inglish. Being sincere, for me was hard because they were students that were in same age as me and it was a challenge for me to keep respect in the classroom and to let them know that I was the teacher over there.

Educational Experience

"Being a teacher more than a job a real lifestyle."

-Eduardo Marroquin-

Being a teacher is one of the most difficult jobs to do because of all the things that being a teacher actually means. However, being involved and all teaching stuffs is a good and unforgetable experience. I have had the opportunity to teach in all most all the leves, and I can say that is really amazing but challenging. I had been teaching high school level students, and I really enjoyed it. At the begining was hard to make a rapport with the students. we know teaching young adults is not as easy as it seems; nevertheless, I got to know them, and I had a good raport with them. Developing differents activities in which the students feel part of the class the whole time was the way I developed my classes. At the end of my teaching practice I felt so proud of my students because they really managed the things that i was explaing to them, and that is the most wonderful gift that a teacher can recieve from his/her students.

When I was teaching in high school I recieved a recomendation letter because of the job that I was doing right there at the school from the principal.

I was graded by the tuttor at the school. The tutor was evaluating me when I was attending every single class during my whole practices.

Educational Experience

Being a teacher is a wonderful experience in which the teacher has the opportunity to teach and learn from their students. This semester, I had the opportunity to teach high school students. I consider that working with them was easy because they paid attention to my instructions and followed it. I had to be carefully in choosing the topics because they easily got bored with the topics that were not appropriate to their age. I liked the way I could work with my students because they were interacting each other. They were not shy students; I could easily make them participate in the activities. Some of them used to say that they did not like English, but they were participating. I tried to make a dynamic class applying all the knowledge I had acquire. The students were not accustoming to do warm up activities, but as soon as we started applying them. They liked it; it was a new way to start a class. Teaching is not easy because it requires discipline, concentration, innovation, but being a teacher is just amazing.

Educational Experience

I really enjoyed while when I was teaching at high school. It was a new experience for me, and I was glad of having done it. I did appreciate what I taught and learned from the students. First of all, I would like to say that teaching is my passion; I do love it, so it is a pleasure for me to teach other people what I know about English language.

I got along with my students; they were very funny most of the time; they used to make jokes according to the topic; moreover, they learned about new things by doing these things. I tried to encourage people who were shy during the class, and they participated. I loved teaching at high school because not only my students learned from me, but I did learn from them a lot of things; for instance, I learned how to get along with them; I learned new vocabulary, new ways to encourage them, and approach them to understand the topics easily.

It was a good experience because it is my passion to teach. I do love it; sometimes, they were some students that were bothering during the class, so I decided to call them and ask them some questions about the things we were studying. Also, I called students to pass to the front to develop activities.

As a conclusion, I would say that I love teaching; I love having fun with students but learning. I consider that I as a teacher have to get along with my students and know what they need in that way I will be able to help them.
